All Teachers

Bensch Learning offers professional development for your entire staff in a 3-hour or 5-hour setting.  These courses help teachers understand the differences between the ACT and SAT.  Sessions may also be provided during teacher planning periods.

In this workshop, teachers will learn effective strategies to help students perform their best on the SAT and ACT.  These sessions will familiarize teachers with the Critical Reading, Writing, and Math Skills students need to succeed on each test, and the strategies they can model for students to maximize score gains. Teachers will explore the systematic methods and alternative approaches that complement their traditional instruction.

Each program focuses on:

  • Understanding the content
  • Familiarity with the test format
  • Applying systematic test-testing strategies

Programs are designed for individual schools or districts using the following objectives:

  • Increase teacher awareness of test taking strategies
  • Increase teacher knowledge of test differences between SAT and ACT to better guide students toward appropriate test options
  • Increase test prep knowledge and number of non-test prep course students
